About: Debra Holtzman, JD, MA, is a nationally acclaimed child safety and health expert, and award-winning parenting author. Frequently appears on regional and national television and radio, she has been featured on The Today Show, Weekend Today, Dateline, ABC World News, The Associated Press Radio, Martha Stewart Living Radio, and in USA Weekend Magazine. She was the official on-air safety expert for the popular weekly Discovery Health series, 'Make Room for Baby'. She was named an 'Everyday Hero' by Reader's Digest and a 'Woman Making a Difference' by Family Circle Magazine. Debra has a law degree, an M.A. in occupational health and safety, a B.A. in communications, and is the mother of two children. She teaches infant and toddler safety and CPR classes. Her latest book, 'The Safe Baby: A Do-it Yourself Guide to Home Safety and Healthy Living' (Sentient Publications) is available everywhere.
